What We Believe
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible, from Genesis to Revelations, to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative "Word of God" given to mankind, and that it is the divine rule of Christian faith and living. 2Timothy 3: 16; 2 Peter 1: 21
We believe in one God, existing eternally as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in God the Father, who is infinite, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He mercifully concerns Himself in the affairs of mankind; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and eternal death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
We believe Jesus is God. He was the Word of God "in the beginning". He freely laid aside His glory, humbled Himself and became as a man: conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles and infallibly taught the truth with power and demonstration. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and mankind and sits at the right hand of the Father making intercession for us.
We believe the Holy Spirit is God. He came forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. (John 16:8) The Holy Spirit is the agent of regeneration and sanctification for believers in Jesus Christ. He teaches, comforts, guides, convicts and enables believers to live in honor to God. He empowers believers for ministry and indwells everyone who places their faith in Jesus Christ. We believe in the present and interactive ministry of the Holy Spirit, and in all the spiritual gifts described in the Bible, which He continues to give today.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has by His suffering and death made an atonement for the whole world so that whosoever will, may be saved and cleansed from sin through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.
We believe that both men and women are co-heirs with Christ, equally called and enabled to proclaim the gospel and do all the works of the Kingdom.. (Matthew 16:17-19; Acts 2:17-18,42; Ephesians 3:14 -21; 4:11 -16; 1 Timothy 2:11-15; Hebrews 10:23-25; 1 Peter 2:4-5,9-10.)
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.
We believe that the baptism with the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, is given to Believers who ask for it.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling enables the Christian to live a Holy life and that continuance in a state of salvation depends upon continued obedient faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ and that it is essential for one's salvation.
We believe in the ascension gifts, the ministry of Apostles, Prophets, Teachers, Evangelists and Teachers Ephesians4:8-11. We continue the apostle's doctrines, in breaking of bread and seeing signs, wonders, and miracles. Acts 2:42-43.
